Healthy cow is a happy cow!

The Green-Wei Ranch wellness regimen.

At Green Wei Ranch, in addition to maintaining healthy pastures, we believe in a disciplined approach to caring for our longhorn cattle to maintain wellness. In addition to the vaccines mentioned below, we frequently treat our longhorn cattle with fly treatments (alternating pour-on insecticides) and and fly control block with Rabon.

Ivomec®

We rotate use of top brands, like Ivomec, Cydectin and Eprinexde to deworm in the fall, after the first frost and again in the spring, and as needed.

Given weekly for additional protein and energy.

Ultrabac® 8

Ultrabac® 8 Clostridial vaccine given to calves at 3 months with booster 30 days later. Adults are given this vaccination yearly.

Vira Shield 6 + L5

Bovine Rhinotracheltis- Virus Respiratory 5-way viral vaccine given to calves at 3 months with booster 30 days later. Adults are given this vaccination yearly.
